For the fourth time the architectural magazine AIT launched the international Award and tied in with the successful competitions of the years 2012, 2014 and 2016. The AIT-Award „Best in Interior and Architecture 2018“ is divided in twelve different categories. All types of buildings and interior spaces, built in the last two years, could be submitted.


A total of 723 projects from 36 countries had been submitted for the AIT-Award 2018 l Best in Interior and Architecture. In a closed session on 7th and 8th December 2017 in Hamburg, the jury selected the best projects in each category. The finalists of the AIT-Award 2018 l Best in Interior and Architecture are from Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Award ceremony

The rankings will be announced on 21st March 2018 at 4.30 pm by the jurors and the AIT in the context of a festive award ceremony in the presence of the nominated architectural offices and interior designers during the Light + Building in Frankfurt.

On 21st march 2018, all guests attending the AIT Award ceremony 2018 have free admission to the Light+Building trade fair. Following your registration, you will receive a ticket including an RMV Ticket in the form of a voucher code by email.


During the Light+Building trade fair in Frankfurt on the Main, which takes place from 13th march to 16th march 2016, the awarded projects will be exhibited in the special area of AIT in Hall 1.1, E51. Subsequently, the winning projects of the AIT Award 2016 are presented in the AIT ArchitekturSalons and published in the AIT-Dialog.
